The Coalition

The Maryland Coalition on Mental Health and Aging (the “Coalition”) was established in 1994 and was soon adopted as a program of the Mental Health Association of Maryland, a with all aspects of mental health and mental illness. The Coalition was established with the recognition that older adult mental health needs were unique and often overlooked.

The Maryland Coalition on Mental Health and Aging provides a forum for aging, mental health, consumer, family and professional associations and government agencies to work together to address concerns and improve the situation for older adults with mental health needs.

Anyone can join in the work of the Maryland Coalition on Mental Health and Aging. The Coalition meets every other month from 9:30 AM to 11:30AM in the offices of the Mental Health Association of Maryland, 711 W. 40th Street, Suite 460, Baltimore, Maryland 21211.

The meetings are open to any interested person. Meeting attendance is not mandatory to be a member of Coalition.

There are many ways to get involved with the education and advocacy activities of the Coalition. We hope you will attend a meeting or call to see how you might like to participate in this important work.
