Paying for Care
In Maryland, most health insurance plans cover some mental health treatment. Call your insurance provider before beginning treatment to find out which clinicians accept your insurance and what services are covered. Depending upon your family income, your child may qualify for medical assistance, which includes mental health treatment.
If you do not have insurance, contact your local Behavioral Health Authority/Core Service Agency. For more information on paying for care, please go here. If you have questions about Mental Health Parity or your mental health care coverage, visit MHAMD’s Maryland Parity Project or call 443-901-1550.
