Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)

Project AWARE: This seat is sponsored by a generous grant from Project Aware and the Maryland State Department of Education. This initiative is part of a larger effort to build a robust mental health support network across Maryland. All Maryland residents (+18 years old) are welcome to attend.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and abdominal thrusts help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

This gatekeeper course is 90 minutes long and is conducted virtually. Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate and QPR badge.
