Behavioral Health Resources for Maryland's Primary Care Providers

The resources below are intended to support you, your practice and your patients as we face a mental health crisis precipitated by the pandemic which is unlike anything we have seen before.

As the front line of our health care system, you are uniquely positioned to reduce the stigma of mental illness and identify mental health and substance use concerns that may otherwise go unaddressed, particularly among our most vulnerable populations. Your role is critical in this extraordinary year and we thank you for your service to the community.

MHAMD is here to support your efforts. Please feel free to let us know of other resources that would be useful to your practice, whether training, information or systems/policy concerns.

Provider Resources

Most often, mental health and substance use treatment begins in a primary care provider’s office. Here we offer wide-ranging behavioral health resources to help providers manage the well-being of patients and themselves.

Patient Resources

Here patients will find information on crisis resources, accessing care, paying for care, advance directives, and downloadable resources.
